Hydra R760 suitable for commercial printing and image printing，High-precision printing unit with an optional pre-coating system. Water-based inks can be used for direct printing on coated paper. Photo-grade printing quality can be realized for both commercial printing and image printing.

Hydra R760 makes single-piece printing possible. Flexible smart production system can be created to achieve zero inventory, agile production and point-to-point logistics as a brand-new production mode for the internet of things (IoT).

SPICE Printing Engine

The Single Pass Color Engine is another reason the: Hydra Modular can deliver full color printing at high speed. It is configured with a static array of inkjet heads that span the entire print width with a maximum media width of 76cm. Each printhead in the printhead array is controlled by a dedicated circuit board. Mass data is integrated into the central data processing unit. The system is efficient and stable with superior extensibility

Water-based Inks and Primers

Hydra R760 adopts water-based inks. Apart from CMYK ink, orange and green inks can also be loaded for high-fidelity printing with bright colors and a wide color gamut, satisfying the most stringent image printing requirements. Online pre-coating system is optional for Hydra 760. After pre-coating process, ordinary coated papers can be used directly for printing, this work for a wide range of printing materials. In addition, PP and PE synthetic papers are also printable.

Flexible Configurations

Hydra R760 is modularized design. With one or two printing units, it can be setup as single-sided or double-sided printing. With Roll media on the input side, output side can be configured with different options, such as roll rewinding; cropping; folding and Binding for “one-touch bookbinding”.

Agfa’s IPDS solution integrates seamlessly with the industry standard workflows. Supported by Agfa Asanti workflow. It can be seamlessly integrated with smart manufacturing system to ensure transparency and visibility from manufacturing terminal to client terminal.

The :Hydra R760’s IPDS (intelligent Print Data Stream) controller eliminates bottlenecks, scalable data-processing technology that provides unlimited processing power. The result is real-time “ripping speed” regardless of project complexity and color density.
